Long ago, it is said that this area was a place where the gods came to heal and rejuvenate in the hot springs.

It is also believed that Amanotajikarao-no-Mikoto, the deity who carried the Heavenly Rock Door, once visited this place. So relaxed was he that he forgot about the rock door, which is now known as Tobira Iwa in Iriyamabe.

Soak in these sacred waters, perhaps once enjoyed by the gods themselves, and take home the power of Tobira with you.
